The shot blasting machine features a shot separation system composed of a separator screw, a shot separator, a storage hopper, and an exhaust duct.
The shot-and-debris mixture is fed from the bucket elevator into the separator screw conveyor; spiral blades within the separator's screen cylinder then remove impurities (such as mill scale, broken shot, whole shot, and dust) from the mixture. The spiral mechanism distributes the shot-and-sand mixture evenly along the separator, creating a full-flow curtain effect before the material enters the next sorting stage. Simultaneously, the dust collector's exhaust fan draws air through the system to effectively separate usable shot from mill scale, broken shot, and dust. The usable shot is directed into the storage hopper for recycling. Adjusting the vertical and horizontal baffles allows for control over the thickness and flow pattern of the material curtain; fine-tuning the baffle in the separation zone ensures optimal separation efficiency.
The separation process facilitates easier waste removal for personnel. Because the waste discharged by the shot blasting machine is thoroughly sorted and separated, operators benefit from an excellent working environment.
