A belt-conveyor shot blasting machine is suitable for processing small parts in large batches. It is widely used in the metalworking industry. For instance, large quantities of small castings (such as nuts and bolts) are typically processed using this type of machine for surface cleaning. The parts rotate continuously on the belt, ensuring uniform treatment of all surfaces. The resulting surface finish is of high quality, meeting the requirements for subsequent manufacturing or assembly stages.
A hook-type shot blasting machine is better suited for irregularly shaped and heavy parts. Large forging dies, for example, are processed using this type of machine. The part is suspended from a hook within the blasting chamber and can rotate freely during the process; this ensures full coverage—effectively removing surface contaminants and oxide layers—and prepares the die for repair and reuse.
A rotary-table shot blasting machine is primarily used for processing flat or disc-shaped parts. In the machinery manufacturing industry, round metal sheets or gear blanks are often processed on rotary-table machines to improve surface quality. The part is placed on the rotating table and processed continuously as the table turns, yielding consistent and efficient results.
