The impeller and liner plates of the shot blasting machine must be replaced under the following circumstances:
Severe wear: Replacement is necessary when wear significantly reduces the thickness of the impeller and liner plates, or when large areas of pitting, cracks, or deep scratches appear on the surface, compromising structural integrity and performance.
Dimensional changes beyond permissible limits: Replacement should be considered if measurements reveal significant changes to the impeller diameter, blade shape and size, or key liner plate dimensions, thereby affecting the shot blasting effect and shot trajectory.
Impact on shot blasting quality: Replacement should be considered if wear on the impeller and liner plates results in workpiece surface quality that fails to meet specifications—such as incomplete cleaning or substandard surface roughness.
Frequent malfunctions: Replacement is the most effective solution if issues such as abnormal vibration or noise—caused by impeller imbalance or loose liner plates—occur frequently and cannot be resolved through standard maintenance.
Irreparable damage: New components must be installed if the impeller or liner plates sustain severe damage, such as cracking or deformation, that cannot be rectified through repair.
